Rothschild started created and started to produce these wines in 1995 to keep pace with the changing tastes of wine drinkers, but as with all their wines, excellence is their ultimate goal. This range offers an assortment of varietal wines which span both a spectrum of flavours as well as a diversity of terroir. The Vin de Pays d'Oc region stretches over 4 of the Mediterranean French department from the Pyrennees right across to the Rhône. The appellation allows for a lot of flexibility, for whilst yields are controlled there is much flexibility with regard to grape varietals planted and wine styles produced.
