Chakana, Argentina Chakana Estate is owned by the Pelizatti family and although it is a relatively modern enterprise, the family have their historical roots in wine-making in Italy going back to the 19th Century. Their 150 hectares of vineyard are located just south of Mendoza, where old vineyards have been restored and recovered as well as many new plantings. Here Chakana have constructed a purpose built, state of the art winery. Chakana is a social and environmentally responsible producer respecting both local culture and tradition and working with the natural soil and climatic growing season.
